This page explains how FoundFC approaches player safety, communication and account verification.
01 Our approach
FoundFC is designed to help players showcase their football journey while giving football professionals a structured way to discover talent.
Safety is built into the platform through:
- Parent involvement
- Account verification
- Reporting tools
- Platform moderation
- Controlled communication processes
02 Under-18 player profiles
FoundFC welcomes young players.
For player profiles under the age of 18, parents or legal guardians remain an important part of the process.
Communication regarding under-18 players is directed to the parent or legal guardian connected to the account. This helps ensure that families remain informed and involved.
03 Communication rules
For players aged 18 and over: messages may be sent directly to the player through the platform.
For players under the age of 18: messages are directed to the parent or legal guardian associated with the account.
FoundFC does not allow football professionals to bypass this process through platform features.
04 Verified and non-verified accounts
Professional accounts may display one of two statuses: Verified or Non Verified.
The purpose of verification is to provide additional trust and transparency for users of the platform.
Verification does not guarantee the quality, reputation or intentions of any individual or organisation. It simply means the information provided during the verification process has been reviewed by the FoundFC team.
05 Who can apply for verification
Verification may be requested by:
- Scouts
- Agents
- Clubs
- Academies
- Other football professionals approved by FoundFC
06 Verification requirements
Depending on the account type, FoundFC may request one or more of the following:
- Identity document
- Passport
- Verification selfie
- Verification video
- Professional email address
- FIFA licence information
- Club authorisation letter
- Academy authorisation letter
- Additional supporting documents
Requirements may change as the platform evolves.
07 Verification review process
Users can request verification through their profile.
Once documents are submitted, the FoundFC team reviews the information manually. Users are normally informed of the outcome within 48 hours.
FoundFC may:
- Approve a request
- Reject a request
- Request additional information
Verification may be removed if information is later found to be inaccurate or misleading.
08 Reporting users
Users can report:
- Fake profiles
- Suspicious behaviour
- Harassment
- Inappropriate content
- Safety concerns
- Misuse of the platform
Reports are reviewed by the FoundFC team.
09 Content review
FoundFC may review content and account activity when necessary to investigate reports, maintain platform safety and enforce platform rules.
10 Account actions
FoundFC may remove content, suspend accounts or permanently remove users who violate platform rules or create safety concerns.
11 Platform role
FoundFC is a football discovery platform. FoundFC does not act as a football agency, intermediary, scout, club, academy or agent.
FoundFC does not participate in contracts, transfers, negotiations, trials or employment decisions.
12 Working together
Player safety is a shared responsibility. Players, parents, scouts, agents, clubs and academies all play an important role in helping maintain a positive and respectful environment.
Our goal is simple: create a place where football talent can be discovered while helping players and families feel safe throughout the process.
